MOON BLEND - herbal tea

Peppermint, chamomile, and lavender are all known for their respective healing properties and when mixed together, create a gentle, caffeine-free tea, perfect for rest & digest.
 
steep 2 tsp of tea per 1 cup of hot water, for 10-30 minutes (steeping longer can result in bitter flavour)

Drinking lavender tea during pregnancy is inadvisable due to potential uterine stimulation, therefore moon blend should be avoided during pregnancy & postpartum. Our morning moon mint blend is safe (see other tea listing).

Locals have the option to pick up their order between 1-7pm on THURSDAYS at the farm (you will see this option at checkout, in the "delivery/shipping" drop-down menu). If you cannot pick-up at this time, please ship your order.
 
SEASONAL  |  SMALL-BATCH
We use natural and sustainable practices to grow, manage, harvest, process and preserve our herbs. We hand-pick our herbs, to ensure top quality. Hand-picking allows us to harvest at the optimal time for the plants, and in successions throughout the season (i.e. regular harvests). We then air-dry the herbs using passive, zero-energy racks. The herbs are then sifted, blended and packaged for sale. 
 
GROWING PRACTICES
Our practices include:
building soil with compost
cover cropping
using worms for castings and fertilizer
low-till plots and no-till beds
using natural soil amendments such as bone meal, blood meal, kelp, etc. from reputable sources
weed management through hoeing, hand weeding, soil building and selective tarping of beds
teaming up with worms & animals for compost breakdown, fertilizer creation and managing the land
believing in the power and wisdom of nature, and doing our best to align with this rhythm
