Got into the garden today

Tore out dry weeds, raked, sorted & had a beauty fire.

I love cooking on the fire, I am grateful to be able to do this. Fire cooking feels primal.. sacred

I am grateful to be here and am getting better at letting the love in. Allowing it to fully absorb into my being. Allowing it to reach the core of my inner body, and to radiate outward back in reflection

Bleh, just a lot of gratitude oozing from me right now & consciously accepting gifts from everyone. Accepting friends’ congratulations, honouring how hard we’ve worked for this, (selectively) saying yes to items family want to give us for the house.. in a state of allowing

alright enough of the lovey dovey ooey gooey

today i used this hilarious (& epic) rickshaw we found in one of the barns to move garden debris. when i would squat to pick it up, i’d imagine myself as an olympic weightlifter doing the deadlift

straight back, smooth breathing, winter coat, toque falling over my eyes .. like the pros do it

i am excited to step into my role as a homesteader. i know it’s what i’m meant to be doing because it’s a healthy challenge & i’m motivated

it’s also not going to happen overnight, which i love

this has & will always be a lifelong process

never really had a “start date” and definitely doesn’t have an end date

I’m so excited to grow trees and shrubs

i was daydreaming today of a tiny library, bench & flower patch i can create somewhere along the property road for passing walkers

There's an article in today’s paper about an 18-year old who started this organization that sends uplifting messages and cards to seniors who are isolated in care homes.
