singing about death

if everybody has to die

why can’t it be a celebration?

like the day it happens

the fact THAT it happens

why is it tragic?

it’s going to happen to every single one of us

every animal too

even rocks morph into new forms

i dunno

it’s like let’s look at it differently

it’s always sad

always

that’s part of it

let it be sad

let yourself be

but it can also be seen as perfect timing

carefully curated

by a force beyond infinity

to infinity and beyond!!!

well, if i’m going to die one day

(which i’m going to)

then i’d like to spend my time until then laughing, yeah

laughing & learning

always

creating beautiful things

looking at beautiful things

listening to beautiful things

singing beautiful things

i’ve spent most of my life saying

“i wish i could sing”

but lately i haven’t felt insecure about it

maybe i’m getting better?

not claiming to be The Staves or anything..

but if they asked me to sing backup

i’d be like yes
